How Churches Can Get Involved
As Christians we know that every human life is a gift from God, created on Purpose, with Purpose, for a Purpose. But when women face unplanned pregnancies, abortion often seems like the only solution. These tiny lives – created in the image of God – are ended, before they breathe their first breath.
Your church can help women and men learn the truth, and find help & hope for what they are facing, when you partner with PRCP. Church partnership helps promote the sanctity of human life in the community, giving a voice to the voiceless, and sharing the unconditional love of Christ to women, and men, in need.
Your congregation as a whole can support our ministry, as well as your men’s groups and Bible studies, your women’s groups and Bible studies, and your youth and young adults groups.
We are so grateful for the various local churches who have designated PRCP as a local mission. We are equally thankful for the faithful monthly financial support that we receive from our local churches in support of the work. We feel honored to be able to minister to those facing an unplanned pregnancy decision, so they feel empowered to choose life. In sharing the hope of Christ, we see God’s grace pour out over the lives we touch.
As a Local Church You Can:
Consider hosting a baby shower event at your church to collect new baby items that are needed at the Center. These tangible gifts will then be given to moms who have chosen life and provide them the material support they need for their babies. To request more information, click here.
Introduce PRC of the Poconos to the body of Christ by hosting a Baby Bottle Campaign. We will provide you with the baby bottles & support needed to distribute the bottles to individuals within your congregation. They would then fill the baby bottle with change, cash, or a check. At the end of one month, participating church members will return the bottles to the designated area in your church and we will work with you to collect the bottles.
Prayerfully consider donating your time toward the Kingdom work at the PRC. You can commit to volunteering for as little as a few hours each week to share the love and good news of Jesus Christ with women in need. For more information on volunteering, contact our Operations Director here.
Become prayer warriors. Your prayers will lift up volunteers, clients, and staff. Praying that hearts are open as volunteers share Jesus and encourage a choice for life. Let us know you would like to join our prayer team, here.

Promote healthy relationships and Abstinence Education. The PRC can help promote practical information regarding healthy vs. unhealthy relationships, decision making skills, and why waiting until marriage is 100% the best practice! We will provide Biblical truth about God’s original design for sex and relationships and the consequences we see from those living outside of God’s design. Start the discussion here.
Invite us to speak. Celebrate the value of EVERY human life, anytime. We can give a broad brush overview of the ministry in about 3-5 minutes from the pulpit or be available for Sunday School or Mission Moments. Refer a Woman In Need
When a woman reaches out to your church for counsel, refer her to the PRCP. Our goal is to show women facing unplanned pregnancy the love, forgiveness and freedom found in Christ to help her with what she’s facing.

Promote our After Abortion Care Program
You can help us reach women who are still hurting from a past abortion decision. PRCP offers a Bible study to women so that they can find the hope and healing they have been craving since they entered that abortion clinic. Through our AAC program, women are able to break down the walls of their hearts that the pain of their past abortion built.
Refer a Dad
You can help men by referring dads to us. We offer the National Fatherhood Initiative program, which is a one-on-one mentorship program for men who want to be the best dads they can be for their children. We have also partnered up with other local nonprofits to create the Pocono Dad Project which is a group mentorship program for fathers seeking encouragement and resources to help them be great dads.
Invite A Speaker to Your Church
Sanctity of Human Life Sunday celebrates the value of EVERY human life. Sanctity of Human Life Sunday is traditionally the Sunday before the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade in January, however, the PRC is available to speak at any time you wish. Invite the PRCP to speak at your church or simply ask us for free bulletin inserts and video resources to use during your service.
